Verify a GIA Report
A certificate describes the quality of a diamond, but it does not place a monetary value on the gem. Before purchasing a diamond, you should expect to review a copy of its certificate as proof that it has undergone an unbiased, professional examination.

There is no physical difference between a diamond that is certified and one that is not. The difference between a certified and an uncertified diamond is that; with the certified diamond, you have tangible, legal assurances as to the particular nature and quality of the diamond you are purchasing.

A certified diamond comes with a diamond grading report guaranteed by an accredited gem lab. This report assures customers that the diamond is independently recognized as possessing all the qualities specified by that report. When you purchase a certified diamond, you are getting a diamond with beauty and pedigree.

On the other hand, an uncertified diamond is not accompanied by a diamond grading report, and therefore its stated quality is only based on the word of the seller. An uncertified diamond is not necessarily a bad diamond; certainly, it can be as beautiful as its certified counterpart. However, regardless of certified or uncertified diamonds, we encourage our customers to always buy from trusted and well-established jewellers.

All the certified diamonds featured in Diamond2u.com are by GIA. For uncertified diamonds, Diamond2u is providing quality assurance with buy back policy and we offer a lifetime warranty.
